Curiously, a classic car is considered a car that has more than 20 years. Interestingly, they were selling the old Toyota for 13 years. This means that in seven years, will become a classic car. This sounds interesting is not it? After all, it is a hybrid car is a classic. In other words, it is a futuristic car with advanced systems and the latest technologies. And yet, it is very old and is approaching the ?classic car? age. Let?s talk about this for a second if?
Reconstruction of a car is a classic was a hobby for many car enthusiasts. The problem is that people will rebuild the ancient hybrid cars and maintain long-term, in order to show auto shows in the future? Well, I could, but keep all original may not be a good idea. After all, the battery technology for hybrid vehicles original is not very good compared to battery technology today, and more, when they become classics that will literally obsolete technology.
A Toyota Prius has a battery system that should be replaced about every 20,000 miles or 5.6 years depending on the amount of miles you drive and the amount of use it receives. These original batteries are no longer really available even ($ 7,500 for replacement), and even if you can get, why would I? The new battery systems are much better because they last longer, charge faster, and do not wear out too fast. Of course, when you have a classic car you need to keep all original, but why do you want here?
Another interesting point is that just because a car is old does not make it a classic. Could be defined legally or a classic, but nobody wants to buy one at a car auction house, nobody wants to restore this particular car model. Do you see this too? It is worthy and relevant to ask whether these hybrid cars will never become classic cars in the thinking of classic cars today. My guess is that some models like the Tesla Roadster are hybrid and other specialties will, but its not typical hybrid car. Of course, this is only a prediction and only time can tell.
Now I was at Don Laughlin Laughlin Automobile Museum and Nevada, and had hybrid cars from 1940 to the 1960s, and were considered classics and screen. No wonder, I must add, however, it seems difficult to imagine that a Toyota Prius as a museum piece in the future ? but certainly, this car is a place in automotive history, but were found in the car enthusiasts classics in the future? I bet Toyota expected to be, and maybe there are some that are more Toyota Prius that were in them for this reason. Indeed I hope you will please consider all this and think on it.
