WICHITA ? A partnership led by Delano inhabitant InSite Real Estate Group has purchased the former Jim?s Builders Hardware building at 567 W. Douglas.
That?s just around the clock tower from where the company?s office is at 608 W.? Douglas.
Jim?s closed about a month ago after more than three decades in business.
?Obviously, we were disappointed to see such a ? longstanding business in Delano close their doors,? says InSite broker Carl Hebert.
InSite was the winning bidder for the 5,000-square-foot building at an auction held by McCurdy Auction. The deal will close later this month for an undisclosed price.
Hebert says the firm plans significant renovations for the space.
?We have a track record of ? doing renovations and delivering high-quality buildings here in Delano,? he says. ?We love officing in Delano, and it?s a commitment to the area to make renovations to the building.?
Hebert says the building could accommodate one or two tenants ?just kind of depending on what the market dictates.?
He says that could be for between 2,000 and 5,000 square feet.
?Hopefully there will be more news to follow.?
