I have 5 years of customer service experience, 3 years register/ greeter experience, 1 year as a server, 6 months as a 50/50 and lease taxi driver. I also used to be in the Naval Sea Cadet Corps for 5 years. During this time I took multiple leadership courses and gained experience in managing a unit. Once I had moved out to California I had joined a new unit that had just started out. The CO (company commander) had never done this sort of work before so I helped him get the unit organized, disciplined, and trained in many different ways. Within two months I turned the unit around from basically running around with its head chopped off to entering competitions. During one of these this unit landed a few awards and I was given the Petty Officer of the Year award for the southwestern region which includes California, Nevada, and Texas. During my time in high school I also took multiple business and leadership electives and business math. During my time at Eastern Shore Transport I was an independent contractor. I had to do all my own advertising like business cards and putting ads in the paper and making deals with bars to suggest me as a preferred driver as well as doing all my own DOT paperwork and books.

My name is Steven McDonald, I have recently moved and I am looking for a new job in the Middletown area. I have a lot of experience in customer service and the restaurant and fast food industries. I believe in proper old fashioned customer service like being properly dressed and making sure that no matter the situation the customer leaves satisfied and wanting to return again. I have some experience in advertising since I was an independent contractor for Eastern Shore where I rented a van and pushed my own business and did my own paperwork. I am used to long hours especially during busy seasons. When I was driving a taxi I worked at least 12-15 hours a day if I went home at all, with at least 72 work hours per week. I consider my last job as a management position since I was, as I have stated previously, an independent contractor who did all the advertising and paperwork for myself. As well as working my own hours and making sure that I was dressed in a business-like manner, maintaining the vehicle, and treating the customers properly.
